Our Projects

Over the last five years we have undertaken a range of projects for clients

District Cooling utility for a new city

Working directly for master planners

Working alongside Domiko, the pioneers of Distributed District Cooling, we helped the Master Planner of a new city establish a dedicated District Cooling Utility.
Our services included financial planning and modelling, tariff structuring and pricing, all principal commercial agreements, corporate structuring, risk assessment and management, and regulatory issues.
Capacity is being installed to meet demand as the city is developed. The first plant has been operating successfully for two years and a second plant is in the planning stage.

Subcontracting to lead consulting engineers

Again working alongside Domiko, we prepared a feasibility study for a District Cooling utility, using a Distributed District Cooling configuration. We demonstrated that the proposed design was cheaper in both Opex and Capex, and reduced risk.  It brought the added benefit of controlling plume, which can obstruct air traffic controllers visibility.

We were responsible for financial planning & modelling, tariff structure & pricing, risk assessment & minimisation.

Debt funding for rural broadband

Additional resources to assist our client

Our client was a private telecoms company delivering broadband connections to isolated villages in England through microwave connections.
We explored ways in which the broadband infrastructure could be financed by debt, rather than expensive equity, and identified viable sources of funds.

Start-up online General Medical Practice

Business strategy, financial analysis and management

Our client was a start-up General Medical Practice, providing online consultations. We provided strategic advice, assisted in fund raising, and installed financial controls. The business was launched commercially in July 2017.
